I used a small exercise trampoline to get the bride airborne! It was early in the morning and the sun had not really come over the surrounding building yet. I used a Nikon SB900 shot through a 45" diffuser disk to create soft, directional lighting on her. It was just off camera left. I underexposed the background about 1/3 stop to get the richness and light balance I wanted. I used my Lightroom presets for the initial process, then used my Actions and Dashboard in Photoshop. Actions used: Daily Multi-Vitamin, Digital Fill Flash, Edge Blur Modified, Smokeless burn, Clarify Med.

I try to capture intimate moments like this just before they kiss. This builds anticipation in the image. I also shot through a bridge railing to create a candid feel and framing. The steam from the hot pool in the cool morning made getting a clean shot of the bride challenging. In this image, I wanted to focus more on the flower petals and the feel of being in this romantic moment. I thought the steam added to the feel and it was OK that she wasn't crispy clear.

I love this one! I had to stand up on a bridge railing to get the angle I wanted. Fortunately I had a trustworthy workshop attendee to hold the back of my belt tightly so I could lean over her a bit to shoot! Processed in Lightroom using our Presets. I think this is my favorite image from the shoot. I love the form of her dress in the water, the water shapes on her body, and the soft, beautiful gaze on her face. I shot through the railings of a bridge to get the vertical shadows. I felt this added to the voyeuristic feel of the image and the intimacy. Processed in Lightroom using our Presets. I love the curve of her dress under the water. I actually found one of our textures that had a simliar curve and it forms a very subtle compliment to it in the overlay. This image lent itself well to a texture overlay since the area above her was fairly burnt out due to the heavy steam. The lighting was all natural light from the sunrise.
